24 Hour Crisis Line
Trained staff and volunteers provide domestic violence and sexual assault intervention 24 hours a day. Callers are assisted in clarifying problems and identifying alternative solutions.
24 Hour Shelter
Safe Haven operates an 8-bedroom shelter with a maximum capacity of 25 people, providing a secure and supportive environment for survivors and their children. Our shelter includes accessible rooms, bathrooms, and entryways to accommodate individuals with disabilities. Residents receive personalized support to address their immediate needs, including food, hygiene products, clothing, and advocacy.
Collaborative Efforts
Safe Haven works closely with local agencies, tribal partners, and community organizations to enhance services and advocate for survivors. Partnerships include:
- Tribal Agencies: Collaborations with Stockbridge Munsee Family Services and Menominee Tribal Crime Victims, Waking Women and Wise Women Gathering Place ensure culturally responsive care.
- Law Enforcement: Coordination through the Lethality Assessment Protocol (LAP) and CCR/SART teams provides immediate support for high-risk cases.
- Housing Providers: Partnerships with agencies to help survivors secure safe and stable housing
